We believe legal teams deserve software that works as hard as they do.
Built by a lawyer who got tired of spreadsheets.
In 2021, our co-founder Priya Nair was General Counsel at a 200-person SaaS company. Her team was managing 600+ active contracts in a Google Sheet. They missed a $220,000 auto-renewal because nobody noticed the 30-day notice window had passed.
She looked at the market and found only two options: enterprise CLM systems that cost $200k/year and took 6 months to implement, or generic document storage with no contract intelligence. Nothing in between.
So she left to build it. Archway launched in 2022 with one goal: give mid-market legal teams the contract intelligence that only Fortune 500 companies could afford — at a price that doesn't require a board approval.

The values that guide every decision.
Precision
Legal work demands exactness. Every feature we ship is tested against real contracts, not toy examples. We'd rather ship less and ship right than move fast and introduce errors into legal workflows.
Transparency
We show our work. When AI extracts a clause, we show you the source text. When something is uncertain, we say so. Our customers make legal decisions — they deserve to know how we reached our conclusions.
Ownership
We act like owners — of our code, our customer relationships, and our commitments. When we say a feature ships in Q2, it ships in Q2. When we break something, we fix it the same day and tell you what happened.
Craft
We care about the details that users never consciously notice: the 80ms response time, the keyboard shortcut that saves 3 clicks, the error message that actually explains what went wrong. Craft is respect for the user's time.
The people behind Archway.
A team of lawyers, engineers, and designers who've all felt the pain of contract chaos firsthand.
